bookstores, to me, are like a mothers arms. They are where I go when my nerves need soothing and my soul needs healing.
And this book store is one of my favorites. It takes up a full city block, and has a full stone basement with all sorts of little rooms and tons of records. I felt strange taking pictures in public. I need to get over that. This is a perfect bookstore. A coffee shop, chairs EVERYWHERE, stacks and piles of books all over the place.
It is one of the most comfortable places I can imagine being.

twenty-nine.
Friday morning. I was going to clean. I was going to bake. But after waking up to the back door wide open, the house at 42 degrees, delayed tax return and 1500 dollars in car repairs, what I really needed was to use this tub. And I did, for almost 2 hours, refilling it with hot, hot, hot water every once in a while. Bliss.

twenty-six.
I'm not a literary snob. I read a lot. And I'll read most anything. I read the Twilight series last year after seeing everyone go on and on about it. The books were horrible. They really were. But I read them all. And even liked them a little. And I'll admit (yes you can laugh) I watched the movies. And I plan on continuing to watch the ones that come out.
A coworker loaned another book by the same author. I put off reading it for a while, because even though I got sucked into Twilight, it wasn't really very good. Then I opened it. And finished it in a day. I really, really liked it. I couldn't believe it was written by the same woman.
It's sci-fi, which I'm normally not a huge fan of but this was really well done. Read it.
