It was in the 80's this weekend (almost 90 on Friday!). Perfect for some grilling!

We hiked up and around the back part of our hill, past the pond at the top and into where we had never been. The warm temperatures a week ago fooled me into early spring. Everything is still so brown. I can't wait for the green to start appearing!

On our morning hike, Colin found this itty bitty flower poking through.

So, because we're saving our pennies - I haven't been going anywhere on lunch. No gas wasted. No temptations to buy anything. I've been walking the outer University hour. I've been walking an hour in the am at home, again at work on lunch and the hallways at work at night when it's slow. I'm getting in about 3 hours a day, and I feel it. Thankfully the weather has been beautiful - making the idea of walking on lunch seem more fun than browsing a thrift store.

There are soooo many cool things I want to take pictures of. Rock gardens, cool trees, maple taps, little intricatley designed little gates leading to secret gardens. All sorts of neat stuff. But I feel wierd and creepy taking pictures of other peoples things. Even though I'm dying to get some snapshots for inspirations for my own house. It's a really cool, old, ecletic neighborhood. So full of character.

Anyway, instead of any of that cool stuff you get me, walking. With a dress and boots (boots are made for walking, heels - not so much!)

In the mornings, I walk with no mp3 player. I like to take in the outside sounds. I find the city too noisy for me, so I listen to NPR while I walk

On some work days it's hard to get a picture. I work 10-12 hour days and on my 12 hour days I'm the only one at the office. I don't/can't leave. This is the window in my office. Yeah, it has bars. At least they're cute bars! And really, working till late I don't mind them there. This was around 6pm. Still light out! Spring, how I missed thee!
